Our Business and Supply Chain

Hounslow Removals provides residential and commercial removal, relocation and associated services. Our operations rely on a combination of directly employed staff and a network of approved suppliers and subcontractors, including vehicle providers, packing material suppliers, storage facilities and temporary labour providers. We understand that the greatest risks of modern slavery can exist within extended supply chains and in lower paid or temporary roles, and we work proactively to identify and reduce these risks.

Zero-Tolerance Approach

We have a clear zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery and human trafficking. This applies to our own operations and to every organisation that has a business relationship with Hounslow Removals. We will not knowingly work with any supplier, contractor or partner involved in forced labour, servitude, child labour, debt bondage, or any other form of exploitation. Where credible concerns arise, we will investigate promptly and, if necessary, suspend or terminate the relationship.

Policies and Governance

Our internal policies support our zero-tolerance position and provide guidance for staff at all levels. These policies include our commitment to legal compliance, ethical conduct and respect for human rights. Managers are responsible for embedding these principles in day-to-day operations and for ensuring staff understand their obligations. Supplier Due Diligence and Audits

We are strengthening our supplier due diligence procedures to identify and manage modern slavery risks in our supply chain. As part of our onboarding process, new suppliers are required to confirm that they comply with applicable labour laws and that they actively work to prevent modern slavery in their own operations and supply chains. For higher risk categories of suppliers, we may request further information about their policies, training and oversight arrangements.

We reserve the right to conduct audits or request evidence of compliance from our suppliers. These audits may include document reviews, site visits conducted by us or by independent third parties, and interviews with workers where appropriate and safe. Where non-compliance or serious concerns are identified, we will seek remedial action, including corrective plans, and will consider ending the relationship if improvements are not achieved within a reasonable timeframe.

Training and Awareness

Hounslow Removals is committed to raising awareness of modern slavery among our employees and, where appropriate, among key suppliers. Staff in managerial, procurement and operational roles are informed about the risks of modern slavery, how to recognise warning signs and how to respond to concerns. We aim to ensure that all relevant personnel understand that preventing modern slavery is a shared responsibility and that our zero-tolerance policy must be upheld in every business decision.

Reporting Concerns and Whistleblowing

We encourage employees, suppliers and any other stakeholders to report any concerns or suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking connected to Hounslow Removals. Concerns can be raised through our internal reporting channels or directly to management. Reports can be made confidentially, and we will not tolerate any form of retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith.

All reported concerns will be treated seriously and investigated promptly. Where appropriate, we will cooperate with law enforcement and other relevant authorities. We will also seek to support affected individuals, within the scope of our role and capabilities, and to apply lessons learned to prevent future occurrences.
